Almost James Bond

J Matt Wallace was privileged to work directly with Pierce Brosnan on an ad shot in Austin, Texas, at the famous Driskill Hotel. Shot in two days, the ad doesn’t claim to be James Bond, but it’s hard to see anything other than that in style and a tuxedo-clad Pierce Brosnan.

Wallace shares…

“Mr. Brosnan was truly amazing. Professional, incredibly thoughtful and personally engaging, while just being incredibly cool. He made every scene work. We even had ninjas on set.”

As video assist, Wallace had half-a-dozen one-on-one visits with Pierce Brosnan. It was clear the entire crew enjoyed working with him. Check out the end product.

In the end, this India-based commercial ended up being problematic, thus it was never properly marketed. Also, it was unfortunate that the intention for it being an IMDB short project listing unravelled. It’s still pretty cool.
