In the book “13 Things You Can Do That Are Better Than Your Moral Outrage On Social Media That Will Also Make The World A Better Place,” there is a couple of pages where I offer thanks and appreciation. Below is that same information. More importantly, here are easy to access links to find people and things referenced.

I hope these links will make it easier to find things that will bless everyone.

FROM THE BOOK

I thank God for the many blessings of my life. The number of people I’ve had the privilege to meet and get to know over the years is astounding to me. I do not take these connections and opportunities for granted. I am truly thankful.

Those more in my regular run-of-the-mill life have been encouraging to me in both direct and subtle ways. Simply not laughing in my face more than they do is actually nice. Having a lot of ideas and the reputation that goes with that can be a burden on the types of people who just want things to be simple and easy. I am glad to have people who do not overtly suppress my inclinations to create.

I want to thank a few new people as well, primarily the two freelancers I employed for this specific book project.

Ruxandra Serbanoiu’s art caught my eye during my initial research for the book. Now that we’ve created what I needed, I can confidently say that I appreciate both her talent and the ease in which we worked together. It was relatively painless to develop what I had in my mind’s eye. I regularly get compliments on the artwork in this book. Ruxandra, I know the majority of that credit goes to you. Thanks!

Melissa Zraik was one of many editors I considered. I am very pleased with my decision to work with her. Melissa, your assistance with editing this book is appreciated. The parameters within which we placed you didn’t seem to hinder the quantity and quality of your ability to assist in improving the book. I am confident that there were some real challenges that you made feel easy. Thank you for that. Miriam and I learned much from your feedback. Melissa, we wish you the best!

Miriam, you are the love of my life. In the long list of things where you excel, proofreading is the one that helped me the most in this case. Your help was not just through standard proofreading, but your unique ability to know what I was really trying to say was crucial. Your assistance made possible the proofreading that others did later. Without your initial passes on it, I’m not sure the others would have had a chance. Beyond that, you and the kids are a good combination of critics and supporters. You all know who I am and what I hope to be, and I’ve come to rely on your comments. Thank you.

While there are still others that I could thank, I’m gonna stop after this next couple. Mom and Dad, you guys have lived a life of creating things that didn’t exist before. In many cases, Dad, you have come up with the idea and material and you, Mom, plowed through the hard work of making it tangible and presentable. Both of you create. Both of you know the real work that it takes. I grew up seeing you in the planetarium give birth to amazing multimedia presentations that blended knowledge, enjoyment, technology, and wonder. And that was only the beginning. I appreciate all of the effort and love you have poured into the many projects you’ve produced over the years. I want others to know about you, and especially your books. An overview of a selection of your various books will be in the back of this book. Simply put, you not only made me who I am, you provided a model of desire and appreciation for so many different types of production. This book is a function of that creative life and of you, my parents. You have blessed many, but primarily me. Thank you. I love you.
