Make the Call (2012) was an experimental project to see if a concept was worthy of more investment. The question was whether the story held up and had the intended impact on the audience. In the end, this pre-production project was the final product.

The primary actors all drove in from school for a quick weekend shoot, primarily shot over 36 hours – including overnight. The setup and conclusion scenes with Will Godby were shot in two separate short sessions before and after the primary shoot day(s). The whole thing was shot in Bosque County while also using some previous footage shot in Istanbul, Turkey.

The primary shoot production crew was one person: Matt Wallace. “Even when shooting on the side of a hill with 3 cameras and dedicated audio recordings, I hit all of the record buttons and stop for each take.”
