Mahabat is a film that almost didn’t get finished.
Now, we want to make sure people see it! This is a hopeful, cautionary tale that does not flinch when it comes to the harsh realities that trap so many people. Redemption must be accepted and pursued. Mahabat seeks to help another make better choices than she had made.

Film Festival Fees
Matt Wallace, Bosque Film Society Co-Founder and Filmmaker in Residence, is inviting fellow society members to help finance the film festival entry fees for this film. The filmmakers Maksat and Urmat (in Kyrgyzstan) had given up on the enormous investment of time, energy and resources years ago. Now that this film is actually ready to make the film festival circuit, they have moved on with their lives with all of the responsibilities and challenges of surviving in our ever-changing world. Wallace and Mustang International have already poured resources into this project and looks to others to add to what has already been contributed.
Individuals are welcome to make contributions to the Bosque Film Society (local Texas-based non-profit organization) and these designated funds will be used to pay for film festival entry fees. Click Here for the donation page.
Film Festival fees are typically between $15 USD and $45 USD, but can vary widely. Of course, we’ll be entering as many “Free” festivals as possible.
We appreciate all the help we can get!
During this period of time, MAHABAT is not openly available on the internet for viewing. If you would like to get a private link to personally screen this film – as part of your process in deciding if to help – please contact J Matt Wallace.
